Voilà qu'arrive une rythmique du diable, un chant écorché, granuleux, des riff de guitares incisifs et englobants. Et puis, au trois quart du morceau, un solo de guitare mélodique rampe parmi les ruines. Le thrash de Lipid est frontal, il avance sans jamais dévier de sa ligne. Le groupe danois qui a de la bouteille signe avec A Perfect Killing Machine son troisième album en 30 ans de carrière, une bouteille de verre remplie d'essence. Les thématiques des chansons sont sombres : la fin du monde, la mort et le désespoir se distillent sur chaque plage. La recette est explosive.
Un peu de nostalgie plane sur l'album, une mélancolie venue des années 90 qui pourra donner envie d'enchaîner avec un album un peu plus doux comme Set the world on fire d'Annihilator ou plus méchant, The Grinding Wheel d'Overkill. Si la production de ces albums est différentes, la structure et le souvenir les unifient. Lipid devrait trouver une place au creux de l'oreille des amatrices et des amateurs de trash.

Here comes a rhythm from the devil, a harsh and grainy vocal, an incisive and encompassing guitar riffs. And then, three-quarters of the tracks, a melodic guitar solo that crawls among the ruins. Lipid's thrash is frontal, it runs without ever deviating from its line. The Danish group released its third album in a 30-year career, a glass bottle filled with gasoline. The themes of the songs are dark : the end of the world, death and despair are distilled on each track. The recipe is explosive. And A Perfect Killing Machine do it.
A bit of nostalgia hangs over the whole album, a melancholy from the 90's which may make you want to follow up with a slightly softer album like Set the world on fire by Annihilator or, more naughty, The Grinding Wheel by Overkill. If the production of these albums is different, structure and memory unify them. Lipid should find a place in the ears of trash lovers.
