Simon Mengs se souvient de cet air...

Deserted Fear

Grand truc !
Voilà c'était ma révélation au metal extrême.

Version Originale :

This Sunday morning Simon Mengs from Deserted Fear remembers his first contact with a Dimmu Borgir video clip...

When I was a boy of 13 years, I met a dude who was into Punk Rock. We talked a lot about music and when he found out that I liked Metallica and Megadeth stuff, he got me a CD from a friend.
It had the discography and music videos of Dimmu Borgir on it.
The first thing I ever saw of them was the video clip of “Progenies of the Great Apocalypse”.
Extreme metal, bald guys, blood and big boobs! I was raised as a Christian and even if I was no believer, I was shocked! My first thought was that there have to be many people enjoying this stuff to afford a production like that!!!
One week later I became the biggest Dimmu Borgir fan and my parents worried a lot about my future! Hahaha!
Later on I got to know “Enthrone Darkness Triumphant“ and the other early albums. Great stuff!

So this was my revelation to extreme metal!
